The end of the nine-week grading period for First Baptist School is on this day. Please be sure to visit the online program, Headmaster, for information regarding the grades for your child(ren).
The annual Elementary Awards Ceremony takes place on this last day of school for the elementary. Students are rewarded for their efforts during the year. The awards take place in the auditorium and start at 8:30 a.m.
The graduating class will have their annual tradition of going out to breakfast on the morning of their graduation. The class will meet at 9 a.m. for breakfast.
This is the final graduation rehearsal for the graduating class. It takes place in the auditorium. The band, attendants and all involved in graduation need to be present for this rehearsal. It is important that each senior be present.
The annual 8th grade picnic held at Farquar Park in Apple Valley is tradition and takes place on the last day of school. The 8th grade students will be transported to the park around 11:45 a.m. and the picnic will be done at 2 p.m. This is a celebration of our 8th graders who will be entering high school the following year. Lunch is provided and the cost is free.
This special commencement night celebrates our graduating seniors. Graduation takes place in the auditorium and starts at 7 p.m. Pomp and circumstance and the marching in down the aisle beings the ceremony. Special music, special awards, preaching, and the closing moving of the tassel from one side to the other all make for a special evening you do not want to miss. The tossing of the caps takes place outside after the graduation ceremony. Congratulations to our graduating seniors!
Our staff will enjoy an end of the school year luncheon in the Johnson Chapel as we wish many of our staff a great summer vacation before starting back up in the fall for another school year.
