Faculty & Staff - Introduction

Our faculty and staff consider education to be their mission field, and they actively participate in training First Baptist School students for a life of service in God's will. Their goals also include instilling a Biblical worldview and an uncompromising stand for God and country.

PASTOR DAVID ANAYA
Classes taught:  Bible 7, Spanish I, Spanish II

College degree(s):  Pastoral Theology from Fires of Evangelism in Elgin, IL

Pastor David Anaya teaches Spanish and Bible at First Baptist School. He also coaches the junior high boys' baseball team. Spanish is his first language, and he was used by God to start a Spanish ministry at First Baptist Church.
JOYCE BACON

Mrs. Joyce Bacon has been a teacher at First Baptist School for twenty years teaching kindergarten and first grade. In addition, she was K4 aid for two years, and lunchroom coordinator for one year. For the last four years she has served as teacher assistant and librarian. Also, she coordinates fundraising efforts such as box tops, soup labels and milk caps. Mrs. Bacon has worked in the Sunday school ministry at First Baptist Church for thirty years.

Mr. Scott Cain has also taught Algebra 1/2, Geography, and Latin. He has coached junior high boys' basketball throughout his five years at FBS and he is in charge of the awards program and merit program.

Dr. Dave Clear is the Superintendent of First Baptist School and has taught Bible classes at FBS for 20 years. He has held a pastoral position at First Baptist Church over the past twenty years and has served as senior pastor for the past five years.
VALERIE CLEAR

Mrs. Valerie Clear has over six years classroom experience teaching K4 and various middle school courses. During her ten years at FBS, she has also taught elementary band and music, provided piano lessons and coordinated student participation in the Minnesota Association of Christian Schools (MACS) Fine Arts Festival. Mrs. Clear was named among Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities and is involved with the National Federation Music Club. She has been involved in many ministries at First Baptist Church including the youth, bus and music ministries and has taught Sunday School. Mrs. Clear has been the church pianist for twenty years.
ANDREA DOCTOR

Miss Andrea Doctor teaches secondary math and science classes at First Baptist School. In addition, during her eleven years at FBS, Miss Doctor has coached both the varsity girls' softball and basketball teams. Miss Doctor is active in the bus ministry at First Baptist Church, and she is a member of the church orchestra.
NANCY FOSTER

Nancy Foster serves as First Baptist Church & School Financial Secretary. In addition to the financial records she has volunteered to manage the school's PTF SCRIP fundraising program.
CHARLIE GRAVES

Mr. Charlie Graves has served as an administrator at FBS for the past ten years. In the past he also has functioned as athletic director, junior high boys' basketball coach and led in the development of the FBS athletic complex. Mr. Graves serves in the ministry of First Baptist Church as deacon, Christian Singles' Sunday school teacher, children's ministry helper, deaf ministry interpreter and coordinates skits for Vacation Bible Time. He serves as the Secondary Administrator and is in his fifteenth year teaching young people.
STEPHEN HELDER

Mr. Stephen Helder serves as Athletic Director at First Baptist School in addition to his teaching responsibilities. He is the coach for varsity and junior varsity boys' basketball and varsity boys' baseball. Mr. Helder extends his musical and athletic skills into the ministry of First Baptist Church serving as the adult choir director and little league director. He is also responsible for grounds maintenance.
LEAH KUYKENDALL

Mrs. Leah Kuykendall brings to First Baptist School one year experience teaching fourth grade. She has also taught history, physical education, drama and music. She has been a member of First Baptist Church for six years.

Pastor Michael Markley has taught Bible at First Baptist School for eleven years. Pastor Markley teaches adult Sunday school classes at First Baptist Church, works with the bus ministry and jail ministry and serves as a Police Chaplin for the city of Rosemount.

Mrs. Julie McKay has been a kindergarten teacher at FBS for seven years. She is responsible for the Kindergarten Grandparents' Day and Kindergarten Graduation Day. Mrs. McKay serves in the nursery and junior church ministries of First Baptist Church.
PASTOR JOHN MELE

Pastor John Mele trusted Christ as his Savior in 1994. After which he returned to school to obtain a pastoral theology degree. He joined First Baptist Church as an Assistant Pastor five years ago and recently became the Senior Pastor of Hope Baptist Church in Minneapolis. He continues to teach Bible at First Baptist School.
ABEL MIRANDA

Mr. Abel Miranda has also coached junior high soccer at First Baptist School. Mr. Miranda serves as puppetmaster in children's church ministries at First Baptist Church and has participated in Vacation Bible Time for the past five years.
LOIS MURPHY

Mrs. Lois Murphy has nearly twenty years teaching experience including four and five year old kindergarten, elementary and secondary tutoring as well as college level education classes. She home-schooled her son until sixth grade, while traveling with her husband Darrell Murphy. Darrell is a full time evangelist out of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Murphy has also served as a travel group sponsor for five years representing Oklahoma Baptist College and has coached cheerleading. Mrs. Murphy teaches seventh and eighth grade girls' Sunday school at First Baptist Church.
GARY OHLEMACHER

Mr. Gary Ohlemacher serves as the Elementary Administrator and also coaches varsity boys' soccer. During his sixteen years at FBS, additional responsibilities have included teaching fourth grade, elementary physical education and elementary computers as well as directing both secondary choirs. Mr. Ohlemacher participates in the ministries of First Baptist Church serving as a deacon, adult Sunday school teacher and song director.
KIM OHLEMACHER

Mrs. Kim Ohlemacher has twenty-five years teaching experience in third through eighth grade. Mrs. Ohlemacher serves at First Baptist Church as a Sunday school helper and junior church worker.

Mrs. Vikki Pierson received three Christian character awards upon graduation at Hyles-Anderson College. Mrs. Pierson co-teaches a teen girls' Sunday school class and assists with the Gracious Ladies Mentoring Group at First Baptist Church.
LORI REINHARDT

Mrs. Lori Reinhardt also coordinates the lunch program and the Moms' Day Away program at First Baptist School. She holds various certifications in food services and pre-school training and care. Mrs. Reinhardt was enrolled in kindergarten at First Baptist School the first year the school opened and attended through her senior year. She has served at First Baptist Church as an adult Sunday school helper and has taught the 3-year-old Sunday school.
PASTOR DAVE RUPE

Pastor Dave Rupe is responsible for the youth ministry of First Baptist Church including teen church, youth group, Master Club, camp ministry and Vacation Bible Time. Pastor Rupe also serves as a Police Chaplin for the city of Rosemount.
SARA TIDRICK

Miss Sara Tidrick has taught at every grade level throughout her seventeen year teaching career. She was a member of the first graduating class of FBS and all her degrees, both high school and college, were awarded with honors. She has been listed in Who's Who Among America's Teachers. Miss Tidrick has served in various areas of music ministry at First Baptist Church for thirty years.
ROXANNE TIDRICK

Mrs. Roxanne Tidrick has fifteen years teaching experience. Mrs. Tidrick has worked with childrens' church at First Baptist Church for nineteen years, serves as hostess coordinator for the Ladies' Extravaganza and is a member of the church choir.
TAMMY WELCH
Classes taught:  Sign Language
Years at FBS:  6

Mrs. Tammy Welch has been working in Christian schools for the last twenty-five years. At First Baptist School she serves as the school secretary and has taught a variety of classes including sign language, elementary computers, secondary choir and secondary drama. Mrs. Welch has received various music awards and is active in First Baptist Church music ministries including serving as Special Music Coordinator. She also teaches junior high girls' Sunday school at First Baptist Church.
